Retired 23rd JDC Judge Glynn A. Long, 90, died Thursday April 19, 2018. He graduated valedictorian of his high school class in Donaldsonville, LA. Long was a veteran of the United States Air Force who served in the Pacific Theatre during WWII. He earned his BS degree from University of Illinois and his JD degree from Louisiana State University. Prior to his 1991 election the 23rd JDC bench, Long was city attorney for the City of Donaldsonville and senior member of the firm Long and Long. He retired from the bench in 1996, and returned to private practice.
