Retired Orleans Parish Criminal District Court Commissioner Andrew “Moo Moo” Sciambra, 75, died Tuesday, July 27, 2010. He retired as Commissioner in 1998 after serving 20 years in that capacity. A graduate of Louisiana State University and Loyola Law School, Sciambra was an Assistant District Attorney in Orleans Parish under DA Jim Garrison, assisting in the investigation into the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. As a child, Sciambra began training as a boxer and was a three-time Golden Gloves champion in the light-welterweight division while in college.
