Retired Monroe City Court Judge Diehlmann "D.C." Bernhardt

Retired Monroe City Court Judge Diehlmann “D.C.” Bernhardt, 75, died Wednesday, April 6, 2005. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 1949 and his Juris Doctor degree from LSU Law School in 1951. Prior to his election to the bench, he was on active duty with the Army’s Judge Advocate General’s Corps, 1952-1954 and in the private practice of law as a sole practitioner from 1954 until his election to the bench in 1990.
