Retired 25th JDC Judge August A. Nobile, Jr., 85, died Wednesday, May 28, 2003. He earned his L.L.B. degree from Tulane University where he was a member of the Moot Court Board and was admitted to the bar in 1941. He practiced law for twenty years before being elected judge. He was elected to the bench in 1967 and served as judge until his retirement in 1978. He served as Assistant District Attorney, 25th Judicial District, from 1960 to 1966 and is a World War II and Korean War veteran. He held the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Louisiana National Guard.
