Former 15th JDC Judge Richard Putnam Sr., 89, died Monday, December 16, 2002 in Abbeville, Louisiana. Putnam, who was a member of the federal bench for more than 40 years, served as Senior U.S. District Judge since 1975. He served as a state court judge from 1954 until his appointment to the federal bench in 1961.
