LPOR Regional Seminars and Registration Forms

2019 Training Schedule and Registration

Annually LPOR trainers conduct seminars across the state to explain how LPOR works, to educate those with a need-to-know about state and federal laws related to issuing and enforcing orders of protection, and to disseminate the most current standardized forms that are mandated for use by all courts.

All trainings are free, but you must pre-register to attend. Seating is limited, so register early for the event of your choice.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are new to our LPOR trainings (or haven’t attended in a while and need a refresher):

After registering for a seminar, you will need to view the following video courses prior to attending. They contain important foundation information that will help you better understand and participate in the session but WILL NOT be covered at the seminar. Each video takes less than 10 minutes to view.

1. Overview of the Louisiana Protective Order Registry – explains the history, purpose and function of LPOR

2. Deciding when to file for court ordered protection – pro’s and con’s seeking legal protection, insight into victim behavior, and helpful tips for assisting petitioners.

3. LPOR Legal Forms – introduction to the legal forms created by LPOR for submission to the Registry.
