Please find attached proposed
revisions to Report of Cases Under Advisement form for your review
and comment prior to consideration for implementation. The proposed changes
are as follows:
1. Change of Address;
2. Cite of authority (Supreme Court General Administrative Rules, Part G, Section
2, applicable to R.S. 13:4207) requiring submission of the form;
3. Change of the reporting period from first day of the month to the last day
of the month;
4. Addition of the following sentence in explaining those matters to be considered
under advisement:
"CASES ARE CONSIDERED TO BE UNDER ADVISEMENT UNTIL
THE JUDGMENT
OR ORDER OF DISMISSAL IS SIGNED."
5. Addition of the following certification language above the judge's signature:
"I certify that the above are the only cases taken
under advisement by me which have been
fully submitted and under advisement for longer than
thirty days."
6. Deletion of the Clerk of Court signature line. (The clerk is no longer required
to sign this form.)
7. Addition of a line for the judge to print his/ her name; and
8. Addition of the following language to inform the judge that submission of
the form is required, even if that judge has no cases under advisement:
" *IF YOU HAVE NO CASES UNDER ADVISEMENT, STATE
SUCH ON THIS REPORT
AND FORWARD TO THE OFFICE OF THE JUDICIAL ADMINISTRATOR.
"
