For the foregoing
reasons, the judgment of the appellate court is affirmed
and this matter is remanded to the Ethics Commission
for a new hearing as the First Circuit Court of Appeal
directed. To the extent that In re Beychok, 484 So.2d
912 (La.App. 1 Cir. 1986), conflicts with the decision
sub judice, it is reversed.
AFFIRMED.

2005 CHARLES D. JONES v. BOARD OF ETHICS FOR ELECTED
OFFICIALS (Parish of East Baton Rouge)
For the foregoing
reasons, we reverse the decision of the Court of Appeal,
First Circuit, which held that the district court did
not have subject matter jurisdiction to hear Jones'
petition for injunctive relief and a restraining order.
The stay order granted by us is lifted and this matter
is remanded to the district court for further proceedings
consistent with the views expressed herein and the views
expressed in In re Georgia Gulf, et al.
REVERSED AND
REMANDED.
