Accordingly,
it is ordered, adjudged, and decreed that respondent,
Judge Yvonne L. Hughes, of the Orleans Parish
Juvenile Court, Division "C," State of Louisiana,
be, and is hereby, removed from office; and that
her office be, and is hereby declared vacant.
Respondent is ordered pursuant to La. Sup. Ct.
Rule XXIII, §26 to refrain from qualifying
as a candidate for judicial office for five years
and until certified by this court as eligible
to become a candidate for judicial office. Further,
exercising the discretion allowed this court by
La. Sup. Ct. Rule XXIII,§22, we cast the
respondent with costs incurred in the investigation
and prosecution of this proceeding in the amount
of $20,293.12. Finally, the right of the Lawyer
Disciplinary Board of the Louisiana State Bar
Association to bring lawyer disciplinary proceedings
against respondent under the authority of La.
Const. art. V, §25 (D) is expressly reserved.
