News Release #042

FOR IMMEDIATE NEWS RELEASE

NEWS RELEASE # 42

FROM : CLERK OF SUPREME COURT OF LOUISIANA

The Opinions handed down on the 3rd day of June, 2005 , are as follows:

BY JOHNSON, J. :

2004-O -2973 IN RE: JUDGE PAMELA TAYLOR JOHNSON

We remand this matter to the Commission for purposes of recalculating the costs to reflect only those items which relate to proven charges, including transcript costs. Because we have determined that Charges 0150 and 0206 were not proven by clear and convincing evidence, all costs associated with those charges are not to be assessed to Judge Johnson.

VICTORY, J., dissents and assigns reasons.

BY PER CURIAM :

2005-B -0125 IN RE: ROBERT E. RANDOLPH

Upon review of the findings and recommendations of the hearing committee and disciplinary board, and considering the record and the briefs filed by the parties, it is ordered that Robert Earl Randolph, Louisiana Bar Roll number 19118, be suspended from the practice of law for a period of one year and one day. All costs and expenses in the matter are assessed against respondent in accordance with Supreme Court Rule XIX, § 10.1, with legal interest to commence thirty days from the date of finality of this court's judgment until paid.
