Fifteen
new officers were elected during the Louisiana Fall Judges
Conference in New Orleans, October 6-8. The officers, which
were elected by their peers at the same levels of court, will
hold one-year terms.
The conference, which was held in conjunction with the Louisiana
Judicial College Seminar and Annual Joint Meeting of the Louisiana
Judiciary and the Judicial Council of the Supreme Court of
Louisiana, also was host to the Louisiana Court Administrators
Association meeting. Nearly 150 judges attended the seminar,
which featured workshops and panel discussions of recent litigation
and developments in jurisprudence, both civil and criminal.
The new officers for 2002-2003 are:
