Attorney Christopher
J. Bruno has been appointed, by order of the Louisiana Supreme
Court, as judge pro tempore of Division "C" of Orleans Parish
Civil District Court, according to Justice Bernette J. Johnson.
Bruno will fill the
vacancy created by the election of Judge Roland L. Belsome
to the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeal. Bruno will serve April
1, 2004 through October 31, 2004, or until the vacancy is
filled, whichever occurs sooner.
Bruno received his
undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University and his
law degree from Tulane University School of Law. He has been
a partner in the law firm Bruno & Bruno since 1989 where
his practice has been exclusively civil law cases. He is admitted
to practice in all Louisiana state courts and in the United
States District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts
of Louisiana.
A member of the Louisiana
State Bar Association, the Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association,
the American Lawyers Association, the New Orleans Bar Association
and the St. Thomas More Society, Bruno is also a New Orleans
Bar Foundation Pierre Derbigny Fellow.
