Retired Judge Robert J. Klees has been assigned, by order of the Louisiana Supreme Court, as judge pro tempore to the 29th Judicial District Court, Division “E,” according to Justice John Weimer.
Judge Klees will serve for the period of November 28, 2011 through May 27, 2012, due to the vacancy created by the election of Judge Robert A. Chaisson to the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal. He will serve until the vacancy is filled or until further orders of the Louisiana Supreme Court.
Judge Klees was elected in 1981 and re-elected in 1990 as judge for the 4th Circuit Court of Appeal where, prior to his retirement in 2000, he served as chief judge.
