PROPOSED LOUISIANA SUPREME COURT RULE REGARDING REPORTING OF ACTIONS FOR POST-CONVICTION RELIEF
The Louisiana Supreme Court is considering adopting Part G, Section 15 to the Rules of the Louisiana Supreme Court (“Applications for Post-Conviction Relief; Counting”). The proposed Rule would require that District Court Clerks count separately from underlying convictions all applications for post-conviction relief which are filed. If the proposed Rule is adopted, the Court will amend the Data Collection Form for Supreme Court Reporting to facilitate the separate reporting of such information to the Court by the Clerks.
