<div id="Gustav"><p><strong><span style="text-transform:uppercase;">Hurricane Gustav Orders and Press Releases</span></strong></p><ul><li><strong>The Louisiana Supreme Court </strong>will reopen and be fully operational in New Orleans on Monday, September 8, 2008.</li><li><a href="/court_closure_orders/gustav_orders/Louisiana_Supreme_Court_Gustav_Order03.pdf" target="_blank"><strong>EXTENSION OF FILING DEADLINES</strong></a>&nbsp; The Supreme Court of Louisiana will reopen on Monday, September 8, 2008.&nbsp; All filings due during the period of closure (September 2, 2008 through September 5, 2008) and which become due between the period of closure and September 14, 2008 shall be deemed timely filed if filed on or before Monday, September 15, 2008.</li><li><strong><a href="/court_closure_orders/gustav_orders/Louisiana_Supreme_Court_Gustav_Order02.pdf" target="_blank">EXTENSION OF CLOSURE ORDER</a>&nbsp;</strong> The Supreme Court of Louisiana shall&nbsp;remain closed&nbsp;until Monday,&nbsp;September&nbsp;8, 2008.&nbsp; All filings due during the period of closure shall be deemed timely filed if filed within 5 days of the resumption of normal Court operations. This closure shall serve as an exception to Part One, Chapter 6, Article II, Section 2 of the Human Resource Management Manual for the Supreme Court of Louisiana.</li><li><a href="/court_closure_orders/gustav_orders/Louisiana_Supreme_Court_Gustav_Order01.pdf" target="_blank"><strong>ORDER OF CLOSURE</strong> </a>The Supreme Court of Louisiana shall be closed through&nbsp;Wednesday, September&nbsp;3, 2008, unless extended by order of this Court. All filings due during the period of closure shall be deemed timely filed if filed within 5 days of the resumption of normal Court operations. This closure shall serve as an exception to Part One, Chapter 6, Article II, Section 2 of the Human Resource Management Manual for the Supreme Court of Louisiana.</li><li>Due to the concerns of the Court regarding the approach of Hurricane Gustav, the Louisiana Supreme Court has cancelled oral arguments scheduled for September 3, 4 and 5, 2008.&nbsp;
