Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, January 18, 1921 • Successively elected to every level of court in the Louisiana judicial system • Formed the first Bail Bond Project in the State of Louisiana • Member of the Louisiana Law Institute • Served in World War II, earned the Bronze Star and Purple Heart, and retired from J.A.G. as a Colonel • Died in Baton Rouge, September 10, 1997 • Buried in Baton Rouge • Portrait painted by Polly P.
